We're back up and running. Cox is continuing to upgrade our system. You may experience some spotty connections. Students, if this happens, don't worry. When able log into Classroom & communicate with your teacher. Teachers will do the same if they experience connectivity issues.

Families, students, & staff, Cox is experiencing connectivity issues & is working to correct the issue. Please use this time as a movement & wellness break or as an opportunity to read. We'll send a message when we're back online. Assignments are in Classroom if you can connect.

Updated XQ-RI Press Release Updated.
https://www.barringtonschools.org/article/204885?org=barrington-schools

The Rhode Island Department of Education is requiring a virtual learning plan from every District in Rhode Island in the event of emergency school closures. The District is currently working on a digital learning plan that we can implement. A key piece of information needed for this implementation is the type of access our students, especially K-5, have access to outside of school. Surveys were sent out this afternoon.
Families with students grades 6-12 that do not have access to WiFi outside of school should contact David Burrows, Director of Technology at burrowsd@barringtonschools.org so we can assess our district's limitations for planning purposes.

After consulting w/ guidelines provided by the State concerning best practices around preventing the spread of COVID-19, we are postponing BMS Art's Alive play for Sat 3/14. Updates on dedicated page: https://www.barringtonschools.org/article/198359?org=barrington-schools

Dear Families,
After consulting with the most recent guidelines provided by the State concerning best practices around preventing the spread of COVID-19, we are postponing tonight's Girls' Puberty Night at Hampden Meadows, PTO Bingo night at Sowams, and Art's Night at Primrose. This evening, Barrington Public Schools will engage in a statewide conference call updating us on the best practices for PK-12 Schools in Rhode Island. After the conference call, we will send out a more formal communication about events occurring throughout our District over the next few weeks. If Barrington receives additional information during the conference call, we will share that with you as well on our dedicated page: https://www.barringtonschools.org/article/198359?org=barrington-schools
Sincerely,
Michael Messore, III
Superintendent Barrington Public Schools
