The Barrington Schools Facilities Master Planning process will hold two Community Workshops on Monday April 4, 2022 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and Tuesday April 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The two workshops are identical to provide schedule flexibility for the community. Barrington residents are invited to choose the workshop that is more convenient for them.

Both workshops will be virtual, on Zoom. Each Community Workshop will start with a presentation on essential district data by the district’s planning consultants.  Following this, participants will work in small discussion groups in breakout rooms, respond collaboratively to focused questions on issues they have experience, and share their conclusions with others in the virtual meeting room.

BPS Community Members wishing to participate in the virtual workshop need to pre-register in advance at the link below:

Monday, April 4, 6:30 PM - https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUrdOCqrD0vHd1_LVT07Y7Y9huV1O6PKyJk

 or

 Tuesday, April 5, 11:00 AM - https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAsd-6opzkqHtb3IvKHkPKJ8XWiCMwCmA_O

Please preregister each individual interested in attending separately, even if within the same household. Registration will allow workshop organizers to form balanced breakout rooms to ensure various stakeholders are well represented in providing feedback and sharing experiences.

Seats for the virtual workshop are limited and will be filled on a “first come/first served” basis.

Outcomes from the Community Meetings will form the foundation for deeper, longer deliberations by a smaller group of community stakeholders and educators in Deep Dive Visioning, soon to follow.  Outcomes from Visioning will guide the Master Plan architects and planners in developing Master Planning options for review by the School Building Committee, which will make a recommendation of the best option to the School Committee.

We hope many of you will join us in one of the upcoming Community Workshops to engage in this important process for our schools and community.
