Barrington Public Schools has adopted the following updates to our COVID protocols based on RIDOH and CDC guidance. We will begin implementation on Monday, March 7, 2022. Our ultimate goal is to allow students to learn in person to the greatest extent possible while reducing restrictions and maintaining the safety and health of students and staff.

At this time, Monday, March 7, 2022 BPS is moving to masks optional following the guidelines outlined in the attached slide deck. The District will be following the CDC Community Risk Level map ( last slide on the deck) for Bristol County R.I. to determine COVID protocol levels. Barrington is currently in the yellow category, and we will send out notifications in the event that the district moves into the green or orange category at any point in the future.

Please see the linked slide deck for specifics regarding optional masking, positive cases, close contacts, and visiting schools.
