From advancing our $250 million school construction project and expanding student opportunities to strengthening school safety practices, we are in an important moment of progress and transformation. Selecting the right next leader is critical.
The Barrington School Committee is forming a Superintendent Search Committee composed of representatives from multiple stakeholder groups, from parents to educators, to help identify a finalist pool of candidates for School Committee interviews in late April 2026. This process reflects our long-standing commitment to transparency and community engagement.
The School Committee has moved thoughtfully through this process to ensure district stability with a strong interim superintendent in place and to position our district for success. We are confident that this deliberate approach will help attract and identify the strongest possible candidates to lead Barrington into its next chapter.
The Superintendent Search Committee will meet for a full day of review on Thursday, March 19, 2026 and again on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
