Good afternoon,
At last night's Financial Town Meeting on May 24, 2023, voters of our community approved a $242,049 increase to the proposed FY23-24 School Budget recommended by the Town's Committee on Appropriations (COA). This restored funding to the level of $62,882,309 recommended by the School Committee. The Committee, administration, and staff of the Barrington Public Schools are grateful for the sustained support our community shows for our students and staff.
Barrington Public Schools employees will work with the School Committee to ensure that all of our students receive an enriching and challenging education in a safe and healthy learning environment. This budget will allow us to continue delivering high-quality education to our students and to expand High School social studies offerings and special education support as well as Middle School world language offerings. It will also enable us to adjust our staffing for enrollment as necessary.
The School District appreciates all community members who were able to attend the Financial Town Meeting. Our District relies on the support of our community to continually achieve excellence.
