We welcome all Barrington community 3 and 4-year-olds to apply to our preschool. Unfortunately, due to limited space, and regulations of class size, all applications are entered in a lottery and randomly pulled.
Children applying as community peers must be:
A resident of Barrington, Rhode Island and must be residing in Barrington at the time of the lottery.
At age by August 25, 2023
Screened by our Child Outreach program prior to the first day of school.
Toilet trained before the start of the school year
If the name of a child chosen is from multiple births (twins/triplets), the effort will be made to allow both/all children to enter the classroom, if space allows.
All lottery results are e-mailed to applicants.
Applicants not chosen will be added to a waitlist. If a position becomes available, an application will be pulled from this list and parents will be notified via email.
Applicants who are chosen will receive an acceptance email formally offering them a spot in the program. Families must then follow the steps below to secure their child's seat in the class:
Complete Preschool Acceptance / Decline Letter - This form will be included in your acceptance email. If you were offered a spot but are no longer interested in the program, please complete this form declining your child's spot so it may be offered to a student on the waitlist.
Pay the deposit - The deposit will be applied to the required annual tuition.
Register your child - Instructions will be included in your acceptance email.
The District's policy is to not issue refunds after classes have started.
Please note: Preschoolers are not eligible for district transportation to and from Primrose Hill. Transportation must be provided by the family.
Please do not submit multiple applications for the same student. All duplicate applications will be removed from the lottery.
