Week Of: October 3, 2022
October Lunch Menu - Please remember that when you send lunch payment in, it needs to be in an envelope with your child’s name on it. Please do not send loose money in. Thank you!
Please be mindful of bringing dogs on school grounds. We do have many students that ride their bikes as well as some students who are afraid of larger dogs especially. We appreciate your care and consideration!
Children and adults who bike to school should remember to walk their bike across the crosswalk and walk on the sidewalk until you cross or are off school grounds. Let’s be sure to keep everyone safe!
Tell us where you are from! How many countries and contents can Nayatt school represent?

Flu Clinic (Flu Clinic 2022 Flier)
Has everyone in your family had their flu vaccine?
There will be a FREE flu vaccine clinic at Barrington High School and at Sowams School.
Here’s some important information about the FREE flu vaccine clinic:
• Register online at schoolflu.com to schedule an appointment.
• Online registration is required to ensure the availability of the vaccine, walk-ins will be limited.
• Staff are trained on health and safety measures.
• Insurance information will be collected, but the vaccine is FREE whether you have insurance or not.
The flu is a serious, highly contagious, and sometimes deadly disease. Catching the flu means missing days of work and school. You might even have to spend time in the hospital. Don’t take the risk — the flu vaccine is your best protection against the flu.
If you have any questions, call the RIDOH information line at 401-222-5960. You can also learn more at health.ri.gov/flu/.

East Bay Food Pantry Information
We know many families are struggling. Between changes to the school meal program and rising prices, many families may be having difficulty making ends meet. We want to make sure you are aware of the help that is available at the East Bay Food Pantry. I have attached several flyers with information about our food programs. Any family in Eastern RI (Newport through East Providence) in need of food can come to us for help, free of charge. We are located at 532 Wood St. in the basement of the Franklin Court Independent Living building. For families facing transportation barriers that make it difficult to access our facility, we also may be able to offer food delivery. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. You can reach me by email or by phone at 401-396-9490 x1. (Flier here)
