Empowering All Students to Excel

Nayatt School Information:
Virtual Open House-Thursday, September 29th, 6-7:30 PM

  • Open House will be thirty minutes long. It is a general presentation about communication with families, the daily schedule, and curriculum tools and resources to give you an insight into your child’s day.
  • If you have any questions specific to your child, please email the teacher to set up a phone conference or zoom meeting.  Thank you.

The Schedule is as follows:

  • 6-6:30 PM-Meet with K and 1 Teachers
  • 6:30-7:00 PM-Meet with 2 and 3 Teachers
  • 7:00-7:30 PM-Specialists, Special Educators and Special Subject teachers as well as support staff will hold office hours.
  • 6-7:30 PM-Mrs. Learned will be available as well.

I will send the chart  with links to staff zooms to families prior to the week of Open House.

October 6th-Nayatt School Picture Day

  • Photos are taken outdoors with Coffee Pond.
  • Parents will be able to order online in advance of the day.
  • More information to follow.


COVID-19 Protocols

  • Please be sure to wear a mask on school grounds.  There are lots of people close together at pick up and drop off areas.  Thank you.

TIME:  8 AM – 12 PM
CLINIC LOCATION: Auditorium

Sowams Elementary School
DATE: Wednesday, October 20, 2021
TIME:  4 – 7 PM
CLINIC LOCATION: Cafeteria
PARTICIPANTS: Community Clinic (ages 3 and up)
 
Barrington High School
DATE: Wednesday, November 10, 2021
TIME:  4 – 7  PM
CLINIC LOCATION: Cafeteria
PARTICIPANTS: Community Clinic (ages 3 and up)


Nayatt Arrival Dismissal Procedures

  • Please do not get out of your vehicle, there are lots of moving parts at arrival and dismissal.
  • If you have a car seat for your child that forces you to get out of your car, please pull into a parking space to do this and our staff will walk them over.
  • Please do not cross in the crosswalks until directed to do so by our staff.
  • Thank you for your cooperation and support with safety needs.


Chartwell School Lunch Program

  • School lunches will continue to be provided to all interested students free of charge.
  • Students will order lunch in their classrooms this week.

Volunteers:

  • We will have volunteers in our schools.
  • They must be vaccinated and have a current BCI.
  • Anita DiMatteo, the BPS Volunteer Coordinator, will be collecting and organizing this information.
  • Volunteer opportunities include room parents, guest readers, math and reading buddies, etc.
  • At the K-3 level, volunteers will not start in classrooms until Oct. 1st
  • Mrs. Bertoncini will be working with her library volunteer coordinator and these volunteers will be starting the school year with us.

BCI Drop-Ins  
Volunteers are asked to bring a photo of their ID. 

  • Monday, September 20th, School garden (weather permitting)-Nayatt- 9:00am-10:00am
  • Tuesday, September 21st, Front of school (weather permitting)-Sowams- 9:00am-10:00am
  • Wednesday, September 22nd, Front of school (weather permitting) Primrose- 9:00am-10:00am
