Nayatt School Open House-Sept. 24th

Dear Families,

On Tuesday, September 24th, from 6-7:30 PM, Nayatt School will host it's annual Open House.  This is an adult only event, the only one of our school year.  Please plan accordingly.

Open House is an opportunity to visit with the principal, to meet new staff, and learn about new initiatives and activities for our families.  We are implementing new social/emotional strategies via the anchor tools of the RULER Program out of Yale University.  Freckle Math, a new math resource for students, parents, and teachers.  Freckle Math is replacing the TenMarks Program.  We are continuing our work in Deep Learning and there are many ways to get involved with the Nayatt School Improvement Team, lunch, recess, and more.

Open House is an opportunity to visit with your child's teacher/s and learn about new curriculum, communication via See Saw, classroom needs and expectations, and ways to get involved.  The classroom presentations are an overview and welcome.  Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place later in the year.

Open House is also an opportunity to speak with PTO representatives and learn about PTO Office and ways to get involved at Nayatt School.  No contribution is too small.  Arts Alive will be here to discuss the Nayatt School Play for 2020.  Springboard and the YMCA will have information about before and after school care. Other local groups will also have tables in our foyer with information for families.

We look forward to seeing our families at Open House.  Later in the week, we will come together as a school community at Barrington Middle School for our annual PTO Fall Family Fun Night.  There will be music, games, crafts, food, and more so families can get reconnected.
