This Week’s Schedule:
BMS Lunch Monitors:
BMS is looking for Lunch Monitors! Hours will be from 11:15 am to 2:15 pm. If you, or someone you know, is interested, please complete this schoolspring link. https://www.schoolspring.com/job.cfm?jid=3657028
First Day of School Highlights:
Over the past week, our team has been making adjustments to schedules. If your child does have a question about their schedule, we do ask that they wait until they are called to the school counselor’s office. It is also recommended that your child takes a look at their schedule tonight in Aspen to make sure they know where they are going in the morning. Students will be reporting to their first-period class on a “Day 1” (first column on the left).
Start and End Times
BMS will follow a staggered dismissal for walkers/bikers/car pickup schedule for the first two weeks of school and then we will reassess.
Student Drop Off/Pick Up Procedures for the First Day of School:
Students can enter the building beginning at 8:20. Students can be dropped off on the side of the school (via the tennis court entrance) or off of Lincoln Ave at the rear of the building. Students can be picked up in the same areas. We recommend making a pick-up/dismissal plan with your child ahead of time.
Our 6th Grade Students will be eating lunch in their classrooms and our 7th/8th graders will be eating in the Student Union a cluster at a time.
School lunches will continue to be provided to all interested students at no cost through Chartwells. Students who are engaged in distance learning, or who are isolated or quarantined, should reach out to their principal for instruction on picking up lunch, if interested. We request that all families who qualify or think that they may qualify for free or reduced lunch complete the linked form. Completion of the form allows us to support our students and our programs.
Full COVID Protocols are available on the District website by clicking here. Please note that all staff, students, and visitors will be required to wear a mask in the building. All visitors will be required to show proof of vaccination, as well. Other links:
Specific transportation information was sent out by the District on 8/23/2021. Student information can be found in Aspen under demographics followed by the bus tab. Please forward all transportation questions to Melissa Resendes at firstname.lastname@example.org
Many health and safety measures will remain in place on school buses. Masks will continue to be required on school buses for students and drivers. Buses will also continue the practice of maximizing ventilation, and we will continue to operate buses with windows partially open. Students will be assigned seating, and household members will be assigned to sit together where applicable.
Over the past week, I have received some emails from students regarding having difficulties connecting to the internet with school-issued devices. If you are having difficulties connecting, please follow the steps listed below:
If that doesn’t work please fill out this form and someone will reach out
