Play Rehearsals for 2nd/3rd Graders: We are still looking for folks to volunteer to help at rehearsals. You don't have to commit to every week, signing up for a single session is ok. THIS IS TONIGHT! Sowams Parents Night Out (sponsored by the Sowams PTO): Stuck at home after the blizzard? Take a break from shoveling and join the PTO for a Sowams Parents Night Out social on Wednesday, March 4 at The Guild in Warren! Our Sowams designated area will include free appetizers and a cash bar from 6-9pm. We hope to see you there!
District Art Show: Our school and district’s art department will be displaying artwork at the Barrington Public Library. Our third graders will have their mini woolen landscape on display during the month of March. Opening night for the display is March 5, 2026, from 4:30-6:30. More information may be found here.
Yearbook: We need pictures for the yearbook. If you have pictures of Sowams students at school or at Sowams School events, the yearbook committee would like these photos for possible inclusion in the yearbook. You may send them to sowamsyearbook@gmail.com. Please only send photos from school events and only of Sowams children.
Library Update: Mrs. Greene’s monthly newsletter is now available. You may access it here. This is an opportunity for you to see what students are learning in our library.
Fun Friday: March 13, 2026, is our monthly Fun Friday. It is designated Leprechaun Day. Wear green, rainbows, and shamrocks.
School On March 23, 2026: As a reminder, because of our latest snow storm, Barrington Public Schools will now have school on Monday, March 23, 2026.
Community Cookbook: A former Sowams student who is working on her Senior Project is putting together a community cookbook and she would love to have you contribute your favorite recipe. More information may be found here.
