Primrose Pandas are Respectful, Responsible and Safe

Mission: Barrington Public School’s mission is to empower all students to excel in character, citizenship, collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking, so that they may positively impact the future.

Vision: Together we inspire, learn, love and grow.

Dear Primrose Families,

I wish your family a wonderful and safe holiday. May the memories and stories of those who are not around the table with you bring smiles and comfort. Enjoy your time together and if you are not celebrating here in Barrington, safe travels. I look forward to seeing you again on Monday.

With gratitude,

Coleen Smith

First grade parents in Arts Alive-Just a reminder that the performance will be after school on Monday, November 28th. Looking forward to seeing our students share all they learned this fall!

Lost and Found: As you know the lost and found continues to grow. I sent a photo on Monday to families in hopes that you would notice and collect your child’s belongings. If you know of any missing items, please let us know. For your convenience, we will continue to have the lost and found out in the front entryway this week in hopes that families will claim their items. On December 7th, any of the remaining, unclaimed items will be donated to the needy.

NOVEMBER IS NATIONAL GRATITUDE MONTH

Last week I shared a link with you as a way to collect your thoughts of gratitude for our school community.  I wanted to share some of the responses with you and once again share the link in hopes you will take a moment to complete this quick form.  Note of gratitude link

Notes of gratitude from staff and families:

The amazing teachers and staff that work together and always put children's needs first and foremost! PHS students feel loved, seen, and heard, what more can we ask for?

I am grateful that the teachers and staff get to know my children and look to educate and nurture the whole child and not just academics. I also appreciate the kind and friendly smiles

Kindergarten Turkey Recipe-2022

  1.  Go to the store to buy a turkey.  If you don’t know where to go, ask a worker which aisle you can find the turkeys.

  2.  Once you bring it home, get the middle out and take some of the bones out too.

  3.  Wash it with water and the oven will dry it off.

  4.  Seasoning—garlic; mix butter with eggs and make kind of an oil, squeeze it on to the turkey; sesame seeds; salt & pepper; different oil (corn oil)

  5.  Put it in the pan and put vegetables around it because that is what real people do.  Put stuffing in it to make it sweeter.

  6.  Heat oven to 13 - 43 degrees.  Cooking time is a long time or at least 2 shows.  Cook it for just enough so it doesn’t get fiery.

  7.  Peek in the oven to see if it is ready, but don’t open the oven for too long.

  8.  Cook some more stuff for the party:  cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, corn casserole, rice, peas, mashed potatoes, broccoli, bread & butter, mushrooms, sweet potatoes with marshmallows inside, salad, kiwis, strawberries, chunky applesauce, and put some ketchup on the side for dipping the turkey.

  9.  Set the table with plates, napkins, and cups.  Have some milk, orange juice and apple cider for the kids.

  10.  Dessert:  apple pie, pumpkin pie, ice cream, caramel candy apples, chocolate pie with sprinkles and whipped cream, cranberry ice cream, blueberry pie, brownies, and lollipops.   🥰The chefs in Mrs Simard’s class
