Hello Families

The Barrington Public Schools value the social-emotional well-being of our students.  As a part of the district’s Strategic Plan, students in grades 3-12 will participate in a brief social-emotional learning survey two times per year (Fall and Spring).  The results of the survey will assist our schools and district in supporting a positive school culture and climate in order to ensure the success of our students.   Below are the topics that will be covered by our surveys:

Grades 3-5

School Climate

Sense of Belonging

School Safety

Teacher/Student Relationships

Grade 6-12

School Climate

Sense of Belonging

School Safety

Teacher/Relationships

Cultural Awareness and Action

Diversity and Inclusion

The Fall survey will be given to the students during the week of November 15, 2021.  The survey should take about 15 minutes to complete and will take place in the elementary classrooms, during Middle School FAST, and during High School Advisory blocks.  Questions about the survey may be directed to your child’s principal.

Also during the week of November 15, 2021, families will have an opportunity to provide feedback on a separate survey.  To ensure we continue to provide high-quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of our learners and prepare them for college and careers, we need your feedback. We want to know what you think.  The topics covered in this family survey are the following:

Family Engagement

School Climate
