Primrose Pandas are Respectful, Responsible and Safe

Dear Primrose Families,

With each new month, comes a focus on awareness and celebration. As you know in March we highlighted Women’s History Month, Irish Heritage Month and World Down Syndrome Day, to name a few. Just this week we took time to celebrate Paraprofessional Day and National School Librarian Day.  We are fortunate to have so many dedicated staff members here. Their work with our students and staff is so important to our success and I am grateful for the connections that they make and support given.

Attendance letters are being sent home today for students who have missed 10% or more of school this year. These are done periodically, as mandated by RIDE, to ensure that our records are accurate and to partner with families to provide support for children who are chronically absent. We understand that some absences are unavoidable due to illness or other circumstances and appreciate that you keep open communication with us when this occurs. It is important for all of our students to attend each day and be part of the learning because we know children learn best when they have consistent attendance.

We look forward to seeing you all on Monday, April 17th. When we return from break we will be celebrating our wonderful volunteers throughout the district. If you plan to attend the breakfast on April 20th, please use the link below to RSVP. Our third graders will be participating in the RICAS for English Language Arts on Tuesday and Wednesday of that week. Third grade parents, if you have not yet sent in a note of encouragement, please do so on Monday or email them to me ASAP. We have received many but want to be sure we include our whole group of students.

Best,

Coleen Smith
