BMS Community Service Club:

BMS Wants to Help Bring a Thanksgiving Dinner to Every Table!

The Community Service Club at BMS recently held a food drive for Tap-In and they were thrilled

to receive 450 pounds of food that our families so generously donated. The Community Service

Club was very proud of our school community.

Tap-In then asked if we could help out with stocking the Thanksgiving food bags that they have

available for their patrons. This year the number of enrolled families has doubled and the amount of food required is enormous. They requested that the food be gathered this week (Oct.

24-28) and a group of our students will be delivering the donated food to Tap-In this coming

Friday. We realize that this comes right on the back of our previous food drive but hope that we

can find a way with everyone's help to bring the joy of Thanksgiving to everyone in our East Bay

community.

Foods requested are:

6th Graders: Stuffing mix and gravy

7th Graders: Instant mashed potatoes and cranberry

8th Graders: Brownie and Bread mix

Oldies but Goodies

(note: information previously seen, but still relevant)

BMS Yearbook - 8th Grade Baby Pictures:

It’s tradition!  See how much the 8th graders have grown! Each year we have pages in the yearbook dedicated to 8th grade baby/toddler pictures and it’s always fun to see how far they’ve come.  Please complete this form and upload your child's baby/toddler photo directly. To avoid confusion, please ensure only one photo is uploaded per student.

PLEASE NOTE: You need to be signed into your or your child's gmail account. If not, you will not be able to upload the photo.

CoffeePond Picture Day Follow-up:

Picture Day on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 went very smoothly.  Picture packages are expected to be delivered to BMS in about 4 to 6 weeks.  Picture retake day will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 if you'd like to have your student's picture redone (or if they were absent on September 28).  Please send in your picture package with your student on that day.

If you have any questions about ordering, reordering or just in general, please contact CoffeePond directly at 800-632-2323, extension 0 or email lifeguards@coffeepond.com.  We cannot accept paper orders in school any longer but it is not too late to order.  Contact CoffeePond at the numbers above.

Drop-off/Pick-up Instructions:

If you choose to drop-off and pick-up your student from BMS, please see this map for directions.  Please note that the last early dismissal of the day is at 2:45 pm.

Early Pick-Up Reminders:

Notes or emails to bmsattendance@barringtonschools.org are needed every time you need to dismiss your student prior to the end of school.  Middle School level students are not allowed to bike home, even with permission by note.  ID and a physical presence is required to dismiss your student early.  Please click here for full details about dismissing your student early from school.

PTO Corner:

Welcome to the new school year from the BMS PTO! We are excited for the new year and a return to many of the events and activities that have been missed over the past couple of years. Here are a few PTO updates to start off the year:

  • Join the PTO: Become a member of the BMS PTO for $20 through our BMS online store. Proceeds go directly to the school and PTO programs and membership is required to vote at PTO meetings.

  • Volunteers needed: We are in great need of volunteers for the board (President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary) and committees (Book Fair, Hospitality, Fundraising, One Amazing Night, Variety Show, 8th Grade Celebration). Please email barringtonmiddlepto@gmail.com if interested or with any questions with no pressure to commit.
