Hats for Henry PTO Sponsored Fundraiser:

The Primrose PTO is having a fundraiser for one of their students who has had significant health issues for most of his life. Primrose has done this fundraiser in the past and unfortunately, it is necessary to do this once again.

On Wednesday, September 14th let’s all wear hats to school in support of Henry. Hats can be worn all day in school. Donations are not required to participate, but if you would like to donate, you can participate in the following ways:

  • Send cash or check to the office. Please make checks payable to Primrose Hill PTO

  • use our PTO website to submit your donation.

Any donation is accepted and appreciated to assist this family with expenses. Thank you in advance for your support.

Gratefully,

Primrose PTO and BMS PTO

School Store / Kindness Grams:

This week our students were introduced to Kindness Grams and the BMS School Store that the students of 1203 will be sponsoring along with Mrs. Lema, Ms. Smith and Ms. Piper. The students from Room 1203 - known as The M.A.D. Squad (Making A Difference) would like to offer staff and students the opportunity to purchase a Kindness Gram to send to friends or teachers. These grams will be available at lunch and at the school store. The grams will be offered each month, with a new theme. They cost $2 and will be delivered on the last Friday of the month. The proceeds from the Kindness Grams will be donated to a different charity monthly. Stay tuned to learn more about this exciting endeavor!  In addition, the school store will be available during lunch and offers school supplies, fidgets and fun little trinkets! Come visit us Monday through Friday during 5th period! We will be in the Eagle's Nest!

BMS Lending Library:

The BMS Lending Library, located at the front of our building, could surely use your support.  We need books, especially of interest to middle level readers, to keep our little library stocked with interesting reads.

Please consider donating new or slightly used books, today.  Donations can be sent to room 1205 (Mrs. Bento’s room)

Welcome to the new school year from the BMS PTO! We are excited for the new year and a return to many of the events and activities that have been missed over the past couple of years. Here are a few PTO updates to start off the year:

  • Join the PTO: Become a member of the BMS PTO for $20 through our BMS online store. Proceeds go directly to the school and PTO programs and membership is required to vote at PTO meetings.

  • Volunteers needed: We are in great need of volunteers for the board (President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary) and committees (Book Fair, Hospitality, Fundraising, One Amazing Night, Variety Show, 8th Grade Celebration). Please email barringtonmiddlepto@gmail.com if interested or with any questions with no pressure to commit.

  • Join us for our 1st PTO meeting of the year Tuesday 10/4 7-8 pm: There will be a BCI check-in from 6-6:30 and new volunteer orientation 6:30-7 prior to the meeting. We will vote on the new board and budget as well as give an overview of what's to come for the school year. The meeting will be in-person with an option to join via zoom as well.

Let’s Celebrate our Amazing Learning Community

(note: below you will find our standing/weekly BMS Spotlight on Learning)

BMS Spotlight on Learning:

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our amazing 6th-Grade, 7th-Grade, and 8th- Grade students for their willingness to share their appreciation for our local first responders. During lunch on Friday, students had an opportunity to sign their names on a poster and/or write a small note of gratitude to our first responders. Later on in the day, the posters were shared with our School Resource Officer and FireFighters/EMTs in front of the students in Mrs. Bento’s room.

Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member that is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.
