BMS Spotlight on Learning

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Kristin Anderson and Rebekah Salter. Last week, our BMS Art Department raised nearly $900.00 for Barrington Tap In. This past Thursday evening, we displayed close to 200 bowls students made over the course of the year to raise awareness of world hunger. Great work Kristin and Rebekah.

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our 6th Grade Clusters and 6th grade Tour Guides for providing our incoming 5th-grade students with a warm BMS Welcome. Thank you for opening your doors to our newest members of BMS.

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on our Yellow Cluster Teachers. Our Yellow cluster students are always supporting and helping us. They are always motivating us and making learning fun and easy. (Nominated by Yellow Cluster Student, Ela Er).

This week we would like to shine our BMs Spotlight on Mrs. Alison Pomeranz. Mrs. Pomeranz is a Very caring teacher who is very willing to help when students are struggling, she provides help for many students and is my trusted adult. (Nominated by Lime Cluster Student Sage Pires).

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mrs. Jaime Poirier. Jaime goes above and beyond for every single student. She works late evenings and holidays. She is there for her students and wants to see them succeed. (Nominated by a 7th-grade parent).

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Mr. McFarland and Mrs. Dimatteo. The other week, Mr. McFarland and Mrs. Dimatteo organized two amazing guest speakers to speak to our 7th Grade Aqua students on the topics of life on land and under the seas, health, and climate action; and a person who works directly with the United Nations on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Great work Peter and Anita for providing this opportunity to our students.

Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member that is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.

Our 8th grade field trip to Boston is quickly approaching. On Thursday, June 2nd the class of 2026 met to review the trip itinerary and details. You can find the slide deck shared with students HERE

Early Dismissals:

A note is required when dismissing your child early from school. Students may not be dismissed after 2:45 pm.  Notes should indicate the student’s full name, who will be picking up the student and at what time. We cannot dismiss students to anyone other than a guardian or parent without a written note, even if they are on your emergency contact list. Students should drop the notes in the folder hanging outside each classroom as they go into their first class and take responsibility for watching the time and coming to the office 5 minutes prior to dismissal without being called.  Please make sure all parties that are picking students up have an id.  Your cooperation with this policy ensures the safety of our students and minimizes classroom interruption.
