Cluster and Course Preference Forms due 4:00 pm

~ BMS New News~

Cluster and Course Preference Forms:

Our cluster and course preference forms have been emailed to our incoming 6th-grade, 7th-grade, and 8th-grade families. Forms will be due back on Monday, June 2, 2025 by 4:00 pm.

Support 8th-Grade Year-End Events:

We can’t believe we are just about a month away from the end of the 2024 - 2025 school year. In BMS tradition, we have a fun-filled sendoff for our 8th-grade students.

  • Kendbrin Field Day

  • Semi-Formal Dance

  • Bridging Ceremony

Typically, 8th-grade families have donated supplies and time to help support these events. With that said, I would like to share the sign-up genius with our 6th and 7th-grade families as well. This could be a great opportunity to “pay it forward.”

Is your student not returning to BMS or not moving on to BHS in the fall?

Moving over the summer?  Changing schools?  If your BMS student will not be returning to BMS next year or attending a different school, please email Kelly Nelson in our School Counseling office at nelsonk@barringtonschools.org to let her know.  This will help with a smooth transition.  Please plan to have your student return any BMS library books or property including their chromebook and charger before their last day.

BMS Spring Tennis:

BMS Spring Tennis has come to an end as I will be in DC for most of the week.  Thank you for a great season!

~ Spotlight on Learning ~

This week, we would like to shine our BMS Spotlight on Thalia Baillie. Thalia Baillie has demonstrated outstanding leadership skills in the Lime Cluster throughout this school year. She has helped her peers, bounced project ideas off of her teacher that could be implemented, and has voiced her concerns about how students may interpret the language of an assessment question when warranted. She is an asset to the school community!

Do you know of a BMS Faculty/Staff/Student member who is shining bright? If you do, please complete the form below and we can include the nomination in an upcoming newsletter.
