KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION WEBSITE
Kindergarten Registration Week will be held February 8-12, 2021.
Nayatt, Primrose Hill, and Sowams Schools are excited to be welcoming you to the Barrington Public Schools. Below you will find information on registering your child for kindergarten in the Barrington Public Schools. Upon receiving your child’s completed packet, you will receive information from your child’s school about kindergarten.
The Student Registration packet must include the following in addition to the completed Kindergarten Registration Packet below:
1. Official Birth Certificate or Passport
2. Immunization Records
3. Proof of Residency (choose one from the list below)
(2) Utility Bills (e.g. electric/gas/oil)
Lease or Rental Agreement
Residency Affidavit (only if applicable)
4. Special Education Records
For new residents purchasing a home in Barrington, registration can only be completed after the closing date. For new residents renting in Barrington, registration can only be completed after the effective date of the executed lease agreement. Please contact the administration office with any questions at (401) 245-5000.
New students may not enter school without proof of immunizations.

There is a Parent Consent form in the packet for Child Outreach screening. All children need to be screened for kindergarten. This is a 3 step online process this year. Step 1 is to sign the consent form. Once that is signed, you can click here Family Questionnaire and start step 2 which is a questionnaire about your child's development. Once that is submitted you will be directed to step 3 which is to go online and complete the 2 screening questionnaires.

The Barrington Public Schools Kindergarten Program is full-day. Children must be five years old as of September 1, 2021, in order to register for kindergarten. Parents are also welcome to register through the Administration Office at any time.
