Responsive Classroom Training I

Fall Schedule: October 20, 21, November 17, 30, 2011 (full days)

                       December 9, 2011 (1/2 day)

Spring Schedule: February 1, 2, March 6, 29, 2012 (full days)

                             April 25, 2012 (1/2 day)

Target Audience:   Barrington Teachers Grades K – 5 & Specialists       

         

Learn how to implement the Responsive Classroom approach. Explore key practices with a focus on building classroom community and establishing positive discipline. Topics will include, Morning Meeting, Rule Creation, Interactive Modeling, Positive Teacher Language and Logical Consequences.

 

The Responsive Classroom is a widely used research backed approach to elementary education that increases academic achievement, decreases problem behaviors, improves social skills, and leads to more high quality instruction.
